Prolific Prosecutor Recalls Land Fraud Cases and Career
The obituary-like reminiscence highlights Goodwin's long prosecutorial work on land fraud cases, a dramatic tale of stolen evidence after a hotel lobby encounter, and his service as assistant prosecutor in Spokane from 1932 to 1914. It notes his Republican ties and role as Assistant Secretary of the Interior in 1822, plus later private practice and representation of several Indian tribes.
