State's Painted Beauty Makes Up For Trip Here
Mr and Mrs Hystom of Chicago camping at the tourist park Thursday wrote in the Express tourist register praising the state's beauty and noting the roads do not matter for the scenery. They said every inch is more beautiful and the state’s painted beauty moral than makes up for it.
Memorial funds received from Whiterocks for Uintah monument
The Uintah Soldiers' Memorial committee reports a $25.60 contribution from the Whiterocks Memorial committee. Mrs. F. C. Meyers, longtime chair, recently died suddenly of heart failure after submitting a full report. Other communities plan to file their reports in coming days.

The Batty family of Ashley valley held its first reunion in 20 years at Ephriam Batty’s home on Soldier Creek near Strawberry Lake. Emerald Oil Co a Vernal corporation after negotiating with Texas Production Co, which earlier struck a gusher at Hamilton Dome near Craig Colorado, received a 26000 payment from Jennings McCloud. A 1200 monthly rental and 15 percent royalty are reported as part of the deal, with drilling to begin at once toward the Dakota sands. Five days after an accident while ranching alone at the Diamond Mountain homestead, the decomposed body of M W Smith, World War veteran about 82, is found by a neighbor. New High School Foundation To Extend Cement Work

Hand crushed in logging wagon accident at Naples
J. W. Olsen of Naples suffered a severe hand injury when a wagon loaded with logs crushed his hand. The fracture involved a large knuckle and extensive crushing to another part of the hand.
