Uintah's wrestling team coached by Jack Woodbury placed fifth at the State Wrestling Meet in Price on February 17 and 18. Eleven of twelve wrestlers qualified through the Region and prior meet. Lynn Siddeway DelMar Bastian Joe Murray and Wade Stewart won third in individual honors while seven others lost in quarterfinals. The squad faced schools including Ogden Provo Weber Davis Carbon and Box Elder.

Vernal Plumber Dies After Heart Attack in Skiing Incident
Karl Keeler Collier 52 died after a heart attack suffered during a skiing trip in Dry Fork canyon with his son Wayne. He passed in a Vernal hospital after a week of treatment. Survived by wife Fawn Caldweller, children Wayne, Daniel, Leon, Dly Ann, and others. Funeral Friday at 1 p.m. in the Second Ward Chapel. Interment in Vernal cemetery.

Uintah High to stage Our Town comedy drama
