Road Boost Seen for Rangely Link to Grand Junction
William Welser, president of the Grand Valley National Bank and western Colorado highway commissioner, reports a $30 000 state appropriation to finish the Grand Junction to Rangely road to the Utah line. The project, long supported by Rangely and Meeker area interests, will connect Vernal and Grand Junction and boost oil trade via Raven Refining in Rangely. The work, mainly by Raven County, leaves two miles of rough road, and officials urge parity of funding between primary and secondary roads to complete the Victory Highway toward the state line.

W L Woolf engineer for the Dry Gulch Irrigation company was called to Salt Lake by Albert H Kneale superintendent of the Uintah and Ouray agencies for a conference with the state engineer. Wife of Bishop Bodily Dies After Operation
The wife of Christopher W Bodily of Moffat died February 7 at Roosevelt hospital following gall stone surgery. She never recovered from anesthesia and had been in ill health. Survived by her husband and daughter Sylvis aged nine or ten. Funeral services were held Sunday at 11 o clock in Moffat.
