The Vernal Ram Sale committee met at the field house last Thursday. Officers Fay Searle presided. Mowerd Williams was vice president. Jack Turner served as secretary. A 1956 sale date was set for September 25. Three-year directors elected: Woodey Searle replacing Wugh Coljle for the Chamber of Commerce, Allan Mansfield replacing Don Batty for purebred breeders, and Howard Williams re elected for the woolgrowers. Russell Reech of USAC spoke on closer grading for better rams.

A large Uintah District Boy Scout Circus closes Uintah’s 46th annual celebration tonight at Causadey with an opening ceremony and eight events. About 100 to 180 Cub and Boy Scouts from 18 troops will participate, awards will be given, and free refreshments follow. The event honors Boy Scout Week with displays by local troops in merchants’ windows and notes that since 1910 over 24 million boys have participated in Scout programs.

Record 146 Pints of Blood Donated During Bloodmobile Visit
Uintah County reports 146 pints donated during the Red Cross Bloodmobile visit. Schedule changes to garbage collection were announced for Vernal Avenue and portions of Main Street, with some routes moved to mornings and others to afternoons. Blood collected goes to the Red Cross Blood Bank for processing and use by Armed Forces. Uintah County Hospital also taps the bank for plasma.
