Vernal Rod and Gun Club to Elect Directors Jan. 3

The Vernal Rod and Gun Club will hold its annual election meeting Monday January 3 at 7 30 p m at the Uintah County Courthouse. Three directors to be chosen and new officers elected. Holdovers are Jim Sutton Jam Lube Bull Thomas and Alyiy Kay. The meeting follows the general session.

Whitrocks School Presents Xmas Operetta

Madeena Smith notes the Whitrocks School Christmas operetta in Tridell Chapel directed by Ned Gines with Phyllis Oberhansley on piano. The piece was well received. Five Trachoma Cases Listed in Uintah County

A weekly health summary from the Utah Department of Health shows Uintah County reporting eight reportable diseases for the week ending December 17, including three chicken pox and five trachoma. Duchesne and Daggett counties had no cases. statewide totals fell to 301 with a five year median of 483, among various diseases and infections reported year to date.
