Liquor Tax Revenues Questioned by Foundation Plan
A 25 year study by the American Witnesses Men's Research Foundation argues liquor tax revenues are overstated and local governments see a small share. The report notes alcohol taxes yield about 8 cents per person locally and 22 percent to local coffers, urging voting decisions to focus on morality and other factors. The weeklong Jehovah's Witnesses ministerial training will run December 16 to 21 in Brooklyn headquarters with local activities and a public talk December 21.
