Mrs Marion Taylor spent the fore part of the week visiting her ill father TA Taylor of Clearfield. Melton Stoddard and new baby son spent the week at Wayne Pickup home then returned to Roosevelt. Ivan Rogers and daughters Denese and Dudy and Harald Dudley family were Vernal visitors Saturday. Ylenry Walls and daughter Veda and son Teddy visited Roosevelt on Saturday. Marriner McMullen family went to Vernal Saturday and dined with Vern Robinson. Litta McMullen visited her sister Mrs Josephine Taylor. Jessie Pickup visited sister Ethel Young who had an operation Tuesday morning at Uintah Coun.

Weekend Visitors From Price At Ada Pickup Area
In hospital Mrs Richard ONeil and family of Price spent the weekend visiting Ada Pickup. The Ervin Jorgensens and Don Jorgensen and girlfriend of Vernal attended the evenings here Sunday and visited Oliver Jorgensen. Joyce Jensen and Ernest Chander attended the Seminary party at Roosevelt Friday evening. The Avalon mutual enjoyed dancing. Tuesday evening PTA was held Thursday evening at the Avalon school house. President Wayne Pickup conducted the meeting. Plans were completed for the Christmas program to be held at the Indian recreation hall at Randlett. Mrs Carolyn Chandler sang several selections. Norton Shelton and son Duane of Stousevelt visited Sunday at the J E Jensen home.

Floyd Perry was accidentally shot when a twig caught his six shooter while riding through brush and the gun discharged striking him in the leg. Mrs Frost transported him to the doctor. Nearby, several families and visitors from Salt Lake City and Meeker shared time with local residents.
