Dutch John Town Construction Nears Completion
Construction of Dutch John, Utah, a Bureau of Reclamation community, is finished. Witt Construction Co of Provo led the project for Flaming Gorge, delivering 50 houses plus 25 transhomes and a large trailer park. Original plans for 90 houses and utilities were revised to 30 brick homes and 20 temporary frames. Two Car Crash Near Lapoint Injures Three
A Sunday 8 15 am head on collision 25 miles east of Lapoint on Vernal road injures three and causes 550 dollars damage. Eldon Stubbs 24 Vernal suffered forehead abrasions. Tex Chivers 25 Vernal and his wife Mary Chivers sustained arm face leg and facial injuries. Chivers cited for driving on the wrong side of the highway. Highway Patrolman Ronald Gale administered first aid at the scene and one person was hospitalized.
