Vermal Vernal Unit Steinsaker Dam Plan Approved for Utah Project
Plans for the 6 154 000 Vernal Unit of the General Utah Project were approved by the Interior Department and forwarded for budgeting. The unit centers on Steinaker Dam to store Ashley Creek water for irrigation of about 14 701 acres near Vernal with 1 600 acre feet for municipal supply to Vernal Naples and Maeser and uses a 50 year loan for local repayment.
