Salt Lake Refinery Near Halfway Finish for Rangely Oil
The Salt Lake Refining Company unit at North Salt Lake reaches 50 percent completion with Bechtel Corp overseeing work begun March 4. The $5 million facility will process crude into gasoline and oils, employ about 85 workers when operation starts, and feed product westward.

Challenger Airlines seeks Casper Vernal air service extension
Challenger Airlines Co. files to extend routes to Vernal and Casper Wyoming with a hearing set September 27 in Casper by the civil aeronautics board.
