Officials of the Wan Lake Pipeline Company confirmed plans to build a new 82 mile parallel section between Rangely and Salt Lake City to increase capacity. The lines would run where the existing 182 mile pipeline faces extreme winter friction as crude oil thickens. Mrs. Mary Louise Johnson Thiriot 24 died from a fall from a horse while vacationing in Baker Idaho. Funeral services will be held Friday noon in Emerson Ward chapel. She was born in Salt Lake City April 29 1931 and leaves a husband a son parents and siblings. Her husband Donald G Thiriot is tied to the Tabernacle Choir tour.

Uintah High announces registration for the new academic year with dates for seniors on Wednesday August 31 juniors September 1 and sophomores September 2 at 7 p m. New counselor H Reese Anderson will assist August 22 to August 29 and during registration nights. Funeral for Bernard Bell Held in Salt Lake City
Bernard Bell 84 longtime Vernal and Roosevelt resident died last Tuesday in a Salt Lake City hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Friday in the Eleventh Ward. Survives include two sons Orden and Mirold Bell, two daughters Vera Nebley and Lorna Stewart, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a brother and a sister.

Pipeline stockpile grows west of Vernal for Northwest project
Eight truckloads of pipe Friday and seven Saturday formed a large stockpile west of Vernal on W Jones property for the Rasta Northwest Pipeline. Over the next six weeks twenty roads daily will dump pipe from Diamond Mountain to Green River. A two acre site is planned if needed. Unloading is by Salt Lake Transfer Company and others totaling sixteen trucks with Utah Crane and Rigging handling unloading. Pipe comes from Consolidated Western Steel in Geneva. Cranes and workers are prepared for night shifts with lighting. Additional work includes right of way grading, blasting rock ledges, and river crossings as Associated Pipeline Contractors opens an Vernal office.
