Two Tourists Hurt In Car Pileup Near Vernal Utah
A 1949 Pontiac driven by Clarence Lawrence Ross of San Diego California left Highway 40 nine miles west of Vernal Utah at 11 15 am. The car flew across a wash and struck the far bank. Scarring injuries included a broken arm and knee for Mrs Mary F Ross and severe facial lacerations for Mrs Charles D Bess. Both are reported in good condition. The other three occupants were uninjured. Ross received a citation for loss of vehicle control.
