Death on White River linked to tree collapse
John Glenn a 63 year old Vernal resident and a well known figure died in Ouray after an early Tuesday forest camp near the White River when a dead cottonwood limb felled during sleep. The accident occurred as he and Perry Dean camped near a large tree fire holes in the limb and a spark caused the trunk to split and strike Mr Glenn. He died at the Ouray hotel Wednesday morning from injuries sustained.

One Mile of Read Completed on Arber Day by Men and Boys
Community volunteers led by Archie Smith and Lewis Wadgkinson completed a mile long road improvement on Arber Day.
