Ganyon Park Recreation Area Under Construction Progress
Work continues on the half mile entrance road to Ganyon Park in Merkleys area at Ashley and Dry Fork Canyons. A 30 foot bridge over Dry Fork Creek will be completed this week, with a cleared route through heavy brush. The six acre park, recently turned over to the county, will include fencing, drinking fountains, picnic tables, a fire circle, sanitary toilets, and trimmed brush. The park promises ideal settings for community outings and summer picnics, with fishing on Ashley Creek and Dry Fork Creek nearby and multiple nearby points of interest such as Cathedral Arch Cave and Giants Stairway nearby.

Ute Land Bill Passes House in Plains Utah District
Washington April 9 The Ute land bill introduced by Representative J W Robinson Utah passed the House. It restores 61389 acres in southern Utah to the Ute Uintah Ouray Reservation and would create a grazing district for the exclusive use of Indian herds. The land is part of about 270000 acres held in trust. the remainder would enter the public domain. The measure was sent to the Senate.

Lions Club Hear Plan for Basin Health Staff
Dr J W Btevens proposed a full time Uintah Basin health corps at a Vernal Lions Club luncheon. Bureau Maps Plans for Buying Wool
Washington April 14 The Commodity Credit Corporation underwrites the wool price support program for the 1843 clip.
