A Saturday crash left several injured and two killed. Victims include Meret Zune 21 and Herman Woeler 32 among others. Police investigation continues as funeral services are planned for Meret Hullisgen with local arrangements set at Swain funeral home.

Important Baseball Meet Set April 20

Baseball enthusiasts and sponsors are invited to a meeting Wednesday April 20 at 8 p m in the American Legion hall announced Uintah County Recreation director Jack Woodbury. The meeting will organize a new baseball board and set season plans including a 15 man squad and new uniforms. A tentative ballpark on high school property with stands for 250 is planned and aims for sodded field this year.

Sarah Rudge 85 Breaks Arm in Fall at Ward Chapel

The Vernal woman Sarah Rudge aged 85 suffered a broken arm after tumbling down steps at the Second LDS ward chapel Sunday evening. She had just returned from visits in Oakland and San Francisco and is glad to receive friends at her home through her sister Mrs. John Jorgensen.

4-H Club Leaders Train at Uintah County School

Field House Maintains Full Hours Despite Reports

G Untermann the field house director says the Utah Field House of Natural History will stay open daily with 9 am to 8 pm hours. Beginning January, museum hours will be 9 am to 6 pm till October 1, then shorter winter hours.
