Preliminary Camp Located for $6 Million Green River Project
A six million dollar irrigation and power dam project is under development at the mouth of the Green River gorge. Sam Carpenter leads a crew that arrived last Sunday to locate the camp, with John T. Pope of Ogden expected soon to launch the development campaign. The site lies 15 to 18 miles east of Vermal, near the Green River Split Mountain gorge, ten miles from Jensen and about six miles from the Dinosaur quarry.

Two City Prisoners Break Jail

Uintah Telephone Lineman Injured Near McKee Residence
William King, a Uintah telephone lineman, was injured when a pole he had climbed toppled near Commissioner Joseph McKee’s residence. The pole rotted under ground line and broke, causing a four inch cut on King’s leg above the knee and burn injuries. He received medical attention in town.
