Artesia Hillcrest School Learns Fast Growing Enrollment
Artesia’s Hillcrest school in Massadona area has doubled student numbers since October. From 70 pupils across two grades groups with two teachers to 33 at the start of 1945 and now over 70, prompting talks of new facilities and more teachers before the 1946 term. Superintendent Hen. E Steele expects recommendations to Artesia citizens as the district plans for growth. A school bus run by Mrs Barbara Hallquist serves the route.
