Engineer Named Commissioner In Uintah Water Case
C C C Jacobs was appointed federal water commissioner for the Uintah basin by Judge Tillman D Johnson. He will allocate water rights for irrigation across more than 100000 acres drawing from the Uintah White Rock Lake Fork Duchesne rivers, succeeding T J Dorggutat after hearings in the 1916 suit against Dry Gulch and Cedarvian irrigation entities. Jacobs, Utah University engineer and former U S Geological Survey district engineer, is seen as a leading irrigation expert in the West.
