Creek Days Committee Backs Urgent Ashley Creek Work

A Uintah Abstract gathering of about twenty aimed to organize community effort for Ashley creek repair before high water. Chairman J M Allred and President Ernest Eaton stressed the creek's worsening condition, noting meandering channels and risk to bridges at Colton, Atwood, and Siddoway sites. End of March snow depth far surpasses last year

Parcel Post Backhaul Assured for Vernal to Price Route

Representative L Sander reports a definite promise from the Postmaster General that a backhaul rate of one half cent per pound to Price will be granted for government trucks from Vernal to Price. The rate, expected by April 15 to May 1, will reduce costs by enabling cheaper return trips and aid internal development.
