The third community forum in the county will be Friday at 8 p m in the Tully Convoy school auditorium. Speakers include Van Wert attorneys Beard and Thane Spahr who will discuss township county and state government.
A local man was fined one dollar for double parking on Main Street during a police campaign. Costs were suspended. The charge follows a city ordinance requiring cars to be parked parallel with and adjacent to the curb, with the dollar as the minimum fine imposed by Mayor John H. Morrison.

Separately the Istanbul consulate says Germans of military age must be ready to return to Germany with expenses covered for classes of 1914 to 1917.
Governor Davey signed three laws after a skeleton session of the Ohio Senate. The cigaret tax was extended to March 31 1937. A welfare building program received 248000 dollars. The common pleas judgeship race now requires candidates to name their opponent and term. Secretary Myer notified county election boards to enforce the new filing rule.
Michael Riley a 45 year old circus clown was killed in a collision between a truck and a farmer's wagon near Beaverdam Allen county while hitchhiking from New England to Peru Indiana to join the Hagenbeck Wallace circus.
Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District secured a victory as the Ohio supreme court dismissed the United States Quarry Tile Co. protest against district amendments creating the Bolivar dam and reservoir. The ruling renews a temporary obstacle to completing the development.

Norman Peacock a 23 year old Cincinnati youth was executed in the Ohio penitentiary death chamber after being convicted of the February 4, 1935 murders of Morris Hockfeld a cobbler and his wife. He asked if it would hurt and died ten minutes after being strapped in the electric chair.
Former Congressman Charles West, Roosevelt contact in Ohio, delayed naming Roosevelt delegates to the Democratic national convention. He said he was unable to say anything and planned to confer with political leaders in Cleveland after meeting Columbus officials.
Incumbents in three county offices filed petitions for re nomination to extend terms. Deadline 6 30 p.m. Friday. Probate judge Charles E Lawhead and county coroner W E Beach seek new terms with A C Gilpin and Robert A Wilkinson also filing for county representative. Republicans seek national convention delegates C M Purmort and C L Newcomer with alternates George F Hewitt and Jessie Hansen. Democratic delegates include George J Kennath and E F Perguson. alternates Mrs Bessie Dwyer and Roy H Barry. Roy McGowen Jr., Republican, seeks county commissioner.
Union township school board will let contracts tomorrow at noon for materials to add a centralized school structure serving as a recreational center and gymnasium. Superintendent D W Smith reported progress with gym foundations laid and forms erected, stone purchased by the government ready for use under Works Progress supervision. Bonds were approved by Union township voters last fall.
The Union centralized school girls face Al ger champions Hardin county in an exhibition before the boys finals at Shawnee high school Saturday night. Tipoff is 7 30 with the sectional finals at 8 30. Union previously won the girls exhibition at the county tournament defeating Ohio City.
City school board members approved plans to meet the state mandate by supplying 25 percent of textbooks free to pupils next year. They previously furnished one fourth and aim to furnish all textbooks within four years. Miss Anna Bucher was named school enumerator.
Automobiles driven by Walter D Haines of 214 S Vine and Charles Hurst of this city were heavily damaged in a collision in the 390 block of North Washington Street about 8 this morning. No one was injured. Haines said brake failure caused him to lose control and veer into Hurst’s southbound car. Chief W E Jackson and Patrolman Oliver Perry investigated.
Columbus March 12 Alexander Thomson president of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce announces his candidacy for a director ship in the Chamber of Commerce for the United States as a representative of manufacturers.
New York march 12 Leaders of about 40 000 striking skyscraper workers and 8 000 building owners named Ferdinand Lillcox as arbitrator but left authority unresolved until direct talks decide reinstatement of strikers where strike breakers worked. Talks at City Hall continued for 14 hours with refusals to hire strikers advancing.
