Goodyear Ordered to End Tire Price Discrimination

School funds sent to all districts under foundation law

Georgia County Votes New Deal in March Primary

In southwestern Seminole county Georgia a snap primary delivered a six to one Roosevelt victory over Governor Talmadge. The race showcased conservative Democratic opposition to the New Deal with Breckinridge plans and a Maryland Ohio spread. Local men to judge Vene docia amateur contest

Van Wert city schools superintendent U E Diener Gordon Balyeat and Delphos schools music superintendent K W Findlay will judge the Vene docia amateur musical contest set for Friday March 6 at 17 30 in Cambrian hall. The male chorus of Vene docia sponsors the event and will perform four numbers with J A Breese directing. Thirty entries from Delphos Middle Point Elida Spencerville Haviland and Van Wert compete for four cash prizes amid small admission and public invitation.

Stoops Packing Starts Crop Contracting With Farmers

The Stoops Packing company announced the start of contracting with farmers to raise corn and tomatoes for canning this year. They foresee quick uptake to cover the entire required acreage. Farmers note hard-to-find field corn seed next spring and favor canning crops for high quality seed and germination. Many expect larger general crop acreages and lower grain prices after 1936 harvest.

A crowd of 500 attended a Van Wert High School Band program at Lincoln School auditorium last night. Dr A B Himes performed magic with Mrs Himes assisting, the high school chorus sang, and the orchestra and band played. Proceeds go toward raising funds to send the band to Washington, D C, in May.

Teresa Hawkins an 18 year old in Weston West Virginia suffers uncontrollable laughter and near exhaustion as doctors seek a pelvic nerve center operation to stop the fitful laughter. Sedatives failed to calm the fits eight days. She remained conscious briefly and said it is too much trouble before starting to laugh again while at a Fairmont theater.
