The Grant County Medical Society held a large migratory meeting Tuesday evening at the Van Buren Methodist church. A chicken dinner preceded the scientific program as doctors and their wives gathered amid festive decorations and music before the address. Continued on page eight.

Half of the second annual free street fair has passed with praise for its breadth and educational value. Poultry judge Claude Enslen praised the awards in Marion with no dissent, and seeks American Poultry Association licensing. The poultry section reports 286 chickens, 2½ ducks, 6 geese, 6 turkeys, 5 pigeons, 4 guinea hens, 40 rabbits, 45 guinea pigs, plus dogs and other pets. Livestock displays, including horses shown after the school parade, impressed with their beauty and variety.

Wild West Show at Van Buren Fair Draws Cowboys
A group of twelve South Dakota cowboys, newly formed for the dull season, performed in Muncie with no name or organization. They travel with about thirty horses under the Van Buren fair association sponsor, and a $40 prize is offered for any animal a cowboy cannot ride.

Water running out Twin Lakes
The Bluffton Banner reports Jackson township solved the Twin Lakes problem by opening a 12 inch tile ditch that drains into the Salamonie. Water levels have fallen about 14 inches since Tuesday, with estimates that the lakes may be dry within ten days to two weeks, freeing the area from long-standing flooding and road damage.
