Nancy Ault former Van Buren resident dies at State Soldiers Home Lafayette Sunday morning July 11 at 5. Cause of death is hardening of the arteries. Born Jennings county Indiana August 24 1838 she died September 11 1921 aged 83 years 17 days. Funeral held Home cemetery Lafayette at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon. HW Davis funeral director assisted.

Van Buren to Host Second Annual Free Street Fair
September 20 1921 marks the opening of Van Buren’s second annual free street fair with hundreds of amusements and displays in poultry livestock art and agricultural products. William Poe 60 Hanged Himself After Wife’s Death
Despondency after his wife’s death three weeks earlier led William Poe aged 60 to hang himself Tuesday morning at his Huntington county home near Banquo. Neighbors found his body, he had been dead over an hour. Father of nine, he left a note fearing he was losing his mind and did not want to become a burden to his children. He lived alone while advertising a sale of farm effects for Saturday.

Horse injures worker as he treats leg wound
While tending a leg injury on a work horse in the barn, Fred Marine broke his right arm when the horse reared and struck him just above the wrist. A physician reduced the fracture, and he is recovering as rapidly as possible.
