Splendid Day in Sunday School Mothers Day Observed

Mothers and families fill the Methodist Sunday School with 265 in attendance. The program featured the Sunday School orchestra directed by Ned R. Conwell, a special male solo, and readings by Wilber Cochran and Keith Howard. Mrs Deck was the oldest mother present and bouquets were given to mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers. Rev. E E Lutes preached on The Redemptive Power of Motherhood.

Mulford to Drive at Indianapolis May 30

Township examination set for May 21 at high school

Trustee Witmer announces a second township exam on Saturday May 21 at the high school for those who did not pass the prior test. Out of 83 candidates the former exam had 12 failures.

Crane Visits Marion Sunday with Large Sunday School Crowd

Otis Crane former county agent and Marion High School teacher led about one hundred Sunday School members from First Christian church in Marion to the Central Church of Christ. He preached at morning worship and a large crowd then shared a bountiful dinner at Studabaker grove east of town.

Fine Stallion Yontife Dies in City

Yontife, a registered Belgian stallion owned by Mr. W. A. Maddux, died Saturday evening. The death is mourned by Mr. Maddux and local breeders who valued the animal highly.
