The Cambridge Springs death of Fred Hathaway at Logan Hospital is reported. He was 49 and died after a car accident near Erie while traveling with two friends. He leaves a mother, sister, three brothers, a niece and two nephews. Aged Ohio Woman Takes Bold Auto Trip at 85

Mrs. Jane Pair of Ohio visits Mr. and Mrs. George Jeffries in Ohio and plans a California winters stay with her son. At 84 or 85 she travels alone yearly, recently rode to the summit of a 133385 foot peak and enjoyed a figure eight on Toledo Beach grounds. She hopes to try airplane travel someday.

Women of the Ku Klux Klan Meet in Van Buren

A Tuesday evening event in Van Buren featured separate meetings for Women of the Ku Klux Klan and male members near Landers Grove. A large fiery cross burned beside a table with an American flag and a Bible as hundreds attended in robes and guards restricted access.

The will of Isaiah Nelson who died April 25 in Van Buren township was filed for probate in Marion circuit court. It provides settling debts, then six thousand dollars to Clyde and Wilbert Nelson and Delpha Kilander, wife receives residue, Van Buren State Bank named executor.

Mall boy injured in knee injury at stone

The small son of Mr and Mrs Harry Farr fell last week and cut a triangular gash to the bone on a sharp stone. His parents took him to Van Buren where a physician dressed the wound.

Funeral Services Held for Henry Endsley of Landess

Henry Endsley born August 17 1846 near Landsdale Indiana died June 22 at Landess after a Civil War service and 35 years resident there. Survived by wife Linda Kitch nine children two other names listed Lydia Cleven Ger Elam Harvey Merle and nineteen grandchildren. Also notes a farewell verse and a visit by Mrs Frank Tharp to Huntington.

Children's Day Program At Methodist Church

The Methodist Church hosts a Children’s Day program on Sunday night July 1 at 7:45.
