Marijuana in bags seized in Union Township raid
About 100 pounds of marijuana in five bags over six feet long were seized at 6730 Hamilton Mason Road in a sheriff's department and Union Township Police raid. No arrests were made as owners reportedly unaware of the drugs. The haul, possibly part of a larger interstate shipment, had a street value in the thousands. A search warrant was obtained from Utter County Common Pleas Court Judge Fred B. Cramer. Participants included Detectives Tom Deaton Gary Anderson Captain Cliff Dye Patrolman Don Smith and Union Township officers Assistant Chief Frank Anderson and Patrolman Larry Cox.
