Rock Eating Turkeys Roam 4500 on Liberty Township Range

Valley View Turkey Farm in Liberty Township Butler County houses 4500 white turkeys on an eighteen acre range at 4900 Yankee Road. The Koch family runs the operation since 1938 with help from their son Carl Jr. They plan to keep turkeys semi confined to protect them from harsh weather and rising feed costs. The farmer notes safety concerns from storms and rising prices for pre starter and formula. The wife preserves odd rocks and trinkets from gizzards prompting a joke about gizz art while recalling a 46 pound 12 ounce Tom earlier. Thanksgiving demand looms as turkeys head to kitchen tables with higher prices due to costs.
