Butler County approves new water system fees for customers
Butler County Commissioners approved system capacity fees for new water customers in the airfield Liberty and Union townships. The plan sets a $100 connection fee for single family homes, $200 minimum for multi family with $50 per unit, and $200 to $600 for commercial or industrial connections. Flag Day services honor liberty township bicentennial
Flag Day observances were held at the old Hughes Schoolhouse in Liberty Township. Congressman Tom Kindness presented a bicentennial flag and an American flag flown over the Capitol. Scouts raised flags as the Miami Valley Militia fired cannons. The Lakota High School Band performed patriotic numbers as Mrs. Lucille Ball led the National Anthem and Sandra Tugrul read Am Your Flag. Dan Hughes hosted. Art Baird gave benediction.
