Strong winds and floods hit Union Township causing scattered damage

Severe afternoon storm winds and heavy rain struck Union Township causing flooded basements and streets, a power outage, and fallen trees. In High Point and Beacon Hills areas cars and homes faced damage while police set roadblocks as water subsided later in the evening.

About 12 Maddox Manor Estates residents told Butler County Commissioners of surface water flooding and raw sewage entering garages amid new development. Dr Jack Rouse to join Kings Island staff

Dr Jack Rouse, division head at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, announces he will leave UC to join Kings Island full time. He previously directed the park's live shows program and did NBC production work including The Price Is Right and The Huntley-Brinkley Report.
