Lakota High School expands with new gym and classrooms

The Lakota High School complex on Tylersville Road shows dramatic changes as a new gymnasium nears completion behind the campus. The facility will serve the T-Bird basketball and wrestling teams and provide additional classrooms along with expanded music and industrial arts spaces. County pledges action over water complaints

Butler County Commissioners heard residents from Cox Road in Union Township complain of drainage that floods basements after rain. They plan to meet with developers to fix the problem possibly by summer and may withhold permits if faults are found. Builders Enterprises said six home permits were issued before subdivision approval, an error acknowledged by the building department. Planning officials will review the issue at the July 10 meeting. Commissioners allowed five houses under construction to continue.

Dues Co Plans 48 Quadplex Condos at Union Two Site

Dayton developer Dues Co announces 48 four unit condominiums at Commerce Park in Union Township facing Crescentville Road. The Living Center Complex will include day care service center and neighborhood shopping in a planned unit development with completion targeted for late 1973 and two-year full project finish. An office rental expansion of four 6,200 square foot buildings along Commerce Park Drive will begin soon with two additional buildings planned.
