Construction could start in 1977 with a late opening planned within 11 months, at the Cincinnati Dayton Road and Tylerville Road junction near Evelyns Kitchen. Marty Hutzelman, a 1976 Lakota graduate and current Ohio Northern University sophomore, is nominated for the Harry S Truman Scholarship. The award honors one student per state committed to government service. Hutzelman was co valedictorian at Lakota, active in student council, and served as a foreign exchange student in Germany this summer.
