Quarantine Tightens on Mendocino County Dogs
A new rabies quarantine, issued by county health officer Dr. C. R. Kroeger, prohibits moving dogs outside Mendocino County or its four cities without written health department permission. To move a dog, it must be free from rabies exposure in 120 days and have a rabies vaccination certificate at least 30 days prior. In Ukiah Fort Bragg Willits and Point Arena dogs must be leashed when moved from home unless wearing current tax and vaccination emblems.

They also found one defendant guilty of assault with a deadly weapon. The trio robbed Douglas Ray of about 70 dollars on the Hard Lake county road last Sept 4 during a three day trial before Superior Judge Hale McCowen with Foreman Howard Owens delivering the verdict after a juror query.
