Baby Recovers After Drinking Ant Poison
An ten month old boy of Mr and Mrs John Lawson Redwood Valley swallowed an ant poison syrup around noon on October 26. His mother gave salt water and a neighbor rushed them to Ukiah General Hospital for treatment. He was released Monday with improved condition.

Mendocino Cattle Ship to Chicago for Show
A herd of Galloway cattle from Forest Range ranch Mendocino county owned by George S Daniels has been shipped by rail from Oakland to Chicago for the International Livestock Exposition December 26 to December 5. The shipment includes eight bulls and eight heifers to be entered in the show with plans to sell to breeders in the east and Canada.

Dixon Named Assistant Manager at Masonite Ukiah Plant

AV Trustees Set Nov 10 to Study Building Plans
Anderson Valley Unified School district trustees will meet November 10 to determine action after the second defeat of an $850,000 state aid application for a new high school. Superintendent Gary Brown said state funds are essential. a $46,000 bond passed 445 to 217, while aid votes were 434 to 227. Absentees cannot change the result. Approval of bonds provided $215,000 for the district’s building program, with an estimated $915,000 needed for a high school.

County Officials Attend Sacramento Water Hearings
