VFW to Honor Ukiah Post Charter Members Tonight

Ukiah Man Gregg Charged in Child Molesting Case
Donald Nelson Gregg of Ukiah was held for arraignment in the Ukiah Judicial District Court on two counts of child molesting involving two 12 year old girls. Sheriff Reno Bartolomie arrested him for violation of section 288 of the penal code after statements from the two girls and Gregg’s wife. The alleged offenses were described as occurring Sunday night at the Gregg home.

Two County Accident Victims Recovered From Creek and Embankment
The sheriff coroner's office recovered the bodies of two accident victims in separate parts of the county. Fred Grote of Orrs Springs died after falling from a bridge approach on Orrs Springs road and striking his head on rocks before tumbling into Ackerman creek. Elmer Ralph Nicholas died when his jeep left the road west of Dos Rios, rolled into water. Autopsy planned for Grote. Surviving relatives of Nicholas were unknown.

Hendy Woods funding eyed for next year budget
