Collegians given going away party in Fireside district

Neighbors in the Fireside district hosted a going away party for seniors bound for college. About 30 teens visited homes to complete scavenger hunt slips asking questions about teachers subjects and memories. Honored guests included Chris Knudsen Milt Jones Dan Luther Doug Campbell and Gwen Hudson as they headed to Brigham Young University State College of Southern Utah and Merced Junior College respectively. Guests wore themed props while party activities and games added a nostalgic mood. Lounge area featured composite photos and schoolyard tableaux. The piece ends with a note on waste composition from a local refuse analysis showing 50-60 percent paper and other materials.

Voters to meet tomorrow for education panel

The Ukiah League of Women Voters opens its 1971-72 season with an Oak Manor school panel on education. Parade entry deadline told for Indian Parade

Deadline to enter the Indian Parade is September 20 for the September 24 event in Hopland.
