The Redwood Riders announce a Fourth of July playday in Redwood Valley with public events. Entries close July 3 and 9 a.m. July 7 for the gymkhana at the Redwood Riders Arena. Medallion trophies awarded for top five and high point by age group. July 8 schooling horseshow at 9 a.m. Entries due July 6. forms at Ukiah Tack room or Redwood Valley Shopping Center. The Ukiah Oratorio Society plans a leadership change as longtime director Duane Thompson resigns due to a busier schedule for the next school year. At last week’s executive board meeting the old officers turned over duties to the new officers. President Barbara Steadman paused for refreshments including a birthday cake for president-elect Lee Pinte whose exact birthday was not specified.
