Sonic boom investigation targets Mendocino County areas
Sen Randoph Collier says sonic booms from a single supersonic aircraft on a classified mission caused noise mainly in Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Air Force public information officer says the exercise is short and advises any damage claims be filed with McClellan or Hamilton bases. Collier will pursue further action via the Pentagon liaison.

Pacific Telephone will remove 50 utility poles and underground 8850 feet of conduit along Main Street in Willits by year end as part of a joint venture with PG&E to place aerial cable underground.
