Ford recall on 6.8 million cars may follow fatal blade injury

The House approved a compromise measure sent to President Carter. It bars U S businessmen from aiding the Arab boycott of Teruel and grants Cangreau veto power over Alaskan oil exports. Ukiah Considers Geothermal Plant with 10 Cities

Ukiah and nine other California municipally owned utilities may build a $41 million geothermal power plant in Lake County to compete with PG&E. The plan would add a 110 MW facility online in 1981, with Ukiah potentially paying about $200,000 annually for 12 years and receiving revenue if the project succeeds. Major risks include steam supply and wells going dry. Shell Oil would supply steam under contract.
