Spectacular 101 Crash Injures Two
Two people were badly hurt in a three car crash on Spectacular 101 about one mile north of Hopland at 1 45 p m Sunday. Vernon Wiggins and Edyth Wiggins of San Anselmo were airborne 60 feet after colliding with two southbound cars and were taken to Ukiah General Hospital. Jean Thomsen of Ukiah and Ken Oliver of San Jose aided by Zimmerrman and Fire Department ambulances assisted the injured. Police report Oliver attempted to pass Thomsen as Wiggins tried to pass Oliver.

Robert Morton Is Freed After Eight Months In Jail
Robert Morton, former deputy sheriff and complainant in 57 warrants of arrest in 1962, was released from county jail just after midnight. He had served eight months of a one year term after being convicted of conspiracy. The judges Glenn Evans, Covelo, and Maurice Tindall, Boonville, who also were convicted, have been suspended by the State Supreme Court. Morton's sentence was shortened for good conduct, donations to the blood bank, and a plea that his incarceration harmed Morton children.
