Sheriff makes second attempt to recover crash victim
A sheriff's unit and jail work crew resumed efforts after a difficult morning to reach the wreckage of the 1946 Stinson Voyager near Pine Ridge six miles west of Ukiah. Truman Dewitt, 37, of Pittsburg California, an Adhesive Engineering Company employee, died in last Tuesday night crash en route from Little River to Red Bluff. The body had been left at the scene previously due to rough terrain and thick ground cover.
