U S Embassy Fire in Moscow Raises Security Questions
A weekend blaze at the U S Embassy in Moscow drew hundreds of Soviet firefighters and a U S team of Navy Seabees Marines and engineers to assess upper floors damaged by an eight hour fire. Man jumps from hotel fire escape in Ukiah incident
A 22-year-old man at the Palace Hotel jumped from a fire escape about 10 feet above ground at 6 p.m. He was rescued by bystanders and taken to Ukiah General for X rays before being released. Police investigate another suspected death by own action as deputies find a 64-year-old woman dead in her bed with a bottle of aspirin nearby.
