Willits Boy Dies After Lake Mendocino Crash
A 16-year-old Willits youth, Rodney Brown, died at Hillside Hospital at 1:12 a.m. after his car left Lake Mendocino Drive east of Eastside Calpella Road, struck an oak tree, and suffered major head injuries from excessive speed. A 15-year-old female passenger had minor injuries and was later taken to juvenile hall as a runaway from Modesto.
