Freshmen Report To Ukiah High School September 6

Freshmen and new students must report to the high school auditorium at 9 a.m. on Thursday September 6 for orientation and preliminary instruction. Vice Principal Bill Murphy announced. Those not registered may do so then. Regular classes start September 11 at 8:35 a.m. Buses begin normal schedules from September 11, with pickups 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and afternoon drops at 3:35 p.m.

Mendocino County wool growers receive a total of 225944.60 dollars in incentive payments for the marketing year ending March 31 1956 based on sales. RV Man Fined for Illegal Deer in Redwood Valley

Virgil Lee Riley a 26 year old Redwood Valley lumber grader was fined 300 by Judge Fred Goss after pleading guilty to trespassing night hunting and improper tagging two bucks. Companion Noble Brackett about 35 unemployed remains at large. Riley’s rifle was confiscated and deer tags forfeited for six months. Deputy A A de Grassi arrested them on his Redwood Valley ranch last week.
