Mendocino County Bonds Move Up Sale of Coyote Dam Bonds
Mendocino County moves the sale date of its Coyote Dam bonds up to October 1 as $850,000 bond issue funds a district share of Coyote Valley dam storage. Herb Cochrane states the $633,000 will be delivered to Sonoma County by December 15 to cover the first three years principal on Sonoma’s $5.65 million bonds.

Few Seats on Bus Open for Ukiah Rooters
There are 21 seats available on the bus taking the Ukiah Colts to the Western playoffs in San Bernardino. Seats cost 15 dollars round trip for parents and other supporters, with reservations via David Scudero between 5 and 8 p.m. by Monday 4 p.m. The bus departs Monday at 8 p.m. If Ukiah wins the Western finals, riders have first refusal on seats for the Evanston, Illinois trip at 85 dollars each.

Ukiah High Board approves 1956 57 budget
The Ukiah Union High School board adopted a 64358 budget for the coming year after a brief public hearing. Superintendent W A Chessall presented the plan and the board authorized selling bonds for school improvements when market conditions allow. A new cafeteria project is part of the enhancements funded by the bonds. The board meets next Tuesday.

Three Laytonville women held on prostitution charges after motel raid
Early today in a Laytonville area raid on White House Lodge eight miles north of Laytonville on U S 101 three women were detained on prostitution related charges. Rose Martin 30 Madeline Blaire 37 and Marie Minikel 29 were booked for drunken in public and related offenses. Minikel's husband owner of the tavern faces charges of keeping a disorderly house and violations of the B girl law. ABC investigators will file license related charges and locals report the operation lasted about two weeks with deputies and ABC agents present in the raid and surrounding area. A Humboldt county case also cites a prior drunk driving fine against Rose Martin.
