Protests Challenge TG&E Rate Boost Details
Opponents led by Tucson officials and eight intervenors filed a 27 page statement of position with the Arizona Corporation Commission contesting TG&E s 17.36 million rate increase. They argue the commission ignored evidence, misapplied return on equity, relied on a Maricopa County ruling, and possibly violated the open meeting law. TG&E may file a response by June 21 with oral arguments set for June 24 in Phoenix and a decision by July 2 on reconsideration.
