Pentagon seals new Lockheed C5A deal amid cost overruns
The Defense Department announced a renegotiated C5A contract with Lockheed that limits the firm to a $200 million loss on the CA jet transport, while the Air Force provides $61.1 million in bailout funds to keep production on track, with overall 81 aircraft expected to cost the government about $4.5 billion.
