Senator Beveridge accompanied by his secretary Thomas B. Shipp departs Indianapolis for Chicago to join a Senate sub committee. They plan to inspect Arizona New Mexico and Oklahoma to assess eligibility for statehood ahead of the Omnibus Statehood bill's anticipated December 10 Senate report.
John Werner a 70 year old wealthy farmer of Mason City Illinois died by suicide today. He used a shotgun to blow a hole through his heart and fired both triggers with a poker according to early reports.

Atlanta November 11 Frederick Crisp son of the late Speaker Charles Crisp was fined 50 dollars in Police Court after being accused of grabbing Grace Dare from the Bizy Izzy Company and lifting her onto the sidewalk. Witnesses included Grace Dare Maud Campbell Frances Berg Florence Ackley and George Sidney. Judge Broyles imposed the fine and Crisp denied the incident saying he merely touched Miss Dare on the arm and apologized.

Hugh McDonald a Chicago policeman escaped from Elgin asylum by crawling to a window and lowering himself with a lightning rod. An inmate aided by using guards to climb out. McDonald traveled to Chicago and surrendered at Northwestern station where he met Thomas Tindlin.
New York November 11 Two Mrs Hannas stay at the Waldorf Astoria. One is former wife of Dan R Hanna son of Senator Hanna the other is his current wife. A hotel mix up put them on the same floor leading to a tense meeting as Dan Hanna with his father appears.

Porter Earle and Orilla S. Cressy, married in Orangeville before the Civil War, reunited in Flint after decades apart.
