Big Mining Strike Reported Near Agua Caliente
Judge Frank Baxter reports a large prospect in the Eagle Tail Mountains about twenty five miles from Agua Caliente. The 158 mine, worked two years by Max Cohen and Dick Dobbs, has recently taken two partners from Los Angeles. They drilled fifty feet, drifted ten, and the ledge widened from two to six feet with four feet of rich ore. The ore is free milling and, if the vein persists, may become a historic Arizona strike. Water must be hauled twenty five miles to the site, though nearby development could cut that distance.
