A raging blaze on a Hoboken pier traps and kills numerous people as flames engulf the structure. Firefighters battle the inferno. casualties include multiple unidentified victims found amid the wreckage. Rescue efforts continue amid smoke and chaos.
A devastating blaze on the Phoenix tine pier in Hoboken last night caused numerous deaths and left many identities unknown. Longshoreman Patrick Hussey died from burns, fireboat sailor Thomas Cooney drowned, and Chief Engineer Scott survived severe injuries after the British Queen burned.
Owingsville Ky March 19 Rev Henry Pennington a Baptist preacher in the county was found guilty of carrying concealed deadly weapons and begins a 35 day jail term. He was accused of an improper relationship with another man's wife and fired a pistol into the ground when confronted by the husband.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital after a stationhouse detention.
